About Mean City Cycles
First off I am Allen (BadX) Austin, owner of MCC. I have been upholstering for 21 years, I have done about everything in upholstering you can think of. I always get asked, "How did you get into this?" Well, like you I ride a motorcycle and found the stock seat to be very uncomfortable so I took the plunge and bought a after market seat on the recommendation of others. Well, this seat sat really well but it moved me forward and raised me. I felt like I was sitting on the gas tank which I hated. I wanted to go back and lower in the seat. After doing some thinking, I knew I could re-shape the stock seat like the after market seat I had bought. So I did it, I had my wife sit on it and she said I had to do her seat next which I did. I took a few pictures of the seats and next thing you know guys were sending me seats to fix for them like I had done to ours. As they say, the rest is history. I have a lot of people to thank along the way to get where we are today, really too many people to name but you know who you are and I am personally thanking you now, thanks for all your support.
Brent (Scarface/The Mailman) Weatherman, I've known Brent for 8 years. We hit it off when we met and although we no longer work together at a full time job it is great having him come in part time right now. Brent has been upholstering for 15 years and has excellent upholstery skills.
The new shop. That's right, we are finishing up the new shop located next door to our old shop. The new facility is strictly setup for modifying and customizing seats.
Thanks to everyone who has had their modified and for spreading the word. Without you guys and gals it would still be just a dream.
